Big Saturday ahead!
And please don’t smell the bunny …

How do you Easter?

If you’re like most Montanans, you’ll spend $53 – nearly all on food and candy, and about half of you will don your Sunday best and head to church.

But more so than anything, you’ll spend the holiday dying eggs and snapping the heads off solid chocolate bunnies.creepy-chocolate-murder

You most definitely won’t be eating Peeps.

Offers.com surveyed 1,000 respondents across the U.S. to identify holiday trends and then broke the data down by state. Hardly any of their findings were surprising – except the part where Oklahomans seem to enjoy smelling their chocolate bunnies before eating them (?!?!)

Here are the numbers that matter to you:

-70 percent of Americans will celebrate Easter in 2017

-The average American will spend $53, with 52.5 percent spending on food and 49.4 percent on candy (same thing, if you ask us).

-Reese’s eggs are the most popular Easter candy nationwide, with 30.3 percent support – but in Montana, Cadbury Eggs take the cake.

ylvvjL5-Montanans agree with America that solid chocolate bunnies are better than hollow or “filled” bunnies – but whereas 55 percent of the county eats the ears first, Montanans prefer to snap off the poor bunny’s head.
-Alaska, Delaware and North Dakota residents are apparently the only smart ones, preferring money in their Easter baskets. Montanans, like most others, said, “Screw the cash, we want some candy!” In West Virginia, apparently they prefer clothes in their baskets. But if you lived in West Virginia, you probably would too.

Park grand opening date set
Jack’s got tix to Vegas!

Jack’s got two free tickets to Las Vegas, but he’s been blacklisted from the entire city!

Yes, it’s dreadful: No hotels, no Elvis tribute shows, no regrettable eloping and – worst of all – no buffets!

JackVegasPHOTOSo, being the nice guy that he is, he’s decided to give his tickets away to one of his faithful Missoula listeners! Seriously!

Here’s the skinny: Jack wants to fly you and a guest to Las Vegas and put you up in one of its legendary hotels for two nights this summer. And he’s also going to put $105.90 in your pocket to spend at your own discretion.

All you have to do is listen for the Word of the Day each weekday in April. We’ll broadcast the word four times each day – 6 am, 9 am, noon and 5 pm. When you hear it, text it to Jack at 848-1059 and you’ll be entered to win!

Yep, it’s that simple. And the best part? You can qualify each and every time you hear the word. That’s up to four times a day every freaking weekday, all month long!

Again, this is a LOCAL contest for a LOCAL listener. You’re not competing against a hundred stations from across the country – it’s just you versus your neighboring Jack fans right here in Missoula and the Bitteroot Valley!

So keep your radio tuned to 105.9 FM and keep our number handy. Again, that’s 848-1059.

We’ll announce a winner Monday, May 1st! Thanks to Lithia Ford of Missoula for sponsoring this awesome spring giveaway!
