The roster of world-class athletes slated for this summer’s Big Time Wrestling event continues to grow, and already it’s looking like this year’s event may be the best yet!
This year’s throw-down show-down is scheduled for 8 pm Friday, June 9, at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field.

The most decorated wrestler in World Championship Wrestling history, Booker T has held 21 titles, including a record six WCW World Television Championships and 11 WCW World Tag Team Championships – 10 of which were as one-half of the Harlem Heat team with his brother, Stevie Ray.
In all, Booker T boasts 35 championships between WCW, World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and is one of only four wrestlers to achieve the Triple Crown in both WCW and WWE!
Most recently, Booker T served as general manager of SmackDown before moving into a commentator’s role for other WWE programming. He has appeared on 27 video games and announced his candidacy for mayor of Houston in 2019.
A record five-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion, The Sandman – aka the “King of Extreme” – was inducted into the Hardcore Hall of Fame in 2007.
He is a one-time ECW Tag Team Champion and has spent time in WCW, WWE and TNA – winning the Hard 10 Tournament in 2003.
You can expect he will be wielding the kendo stick he calls his “Singapore Cane” into the ring, and be on the lookout for his famous finishing move, the White Russian Leg Sweep!
Best known for his run in the WWF – where he held the Intercontinental Championship for a record 64 weeks – The Honky Tonk Man is a former member of the Rhythm and Blues tag team. There he aligned with Greg “The Hammer” Valentine to compete against the likes of the Hart Foundation and The Legion of Doom.
The two were also part of Ted DiBiase’s Million Dollar Team, which marked the debut of the Undertaker.
A slick competitor with an Elvis-like persona, Honky moved on to WCW in 1994 a9nd back to the WWF/F for stints that spanned 1997-2001 and 2008-13.
Carlito
Known for his finishing move, The Back Stabber, Carlito is a former Big Time Wrestling Champion who beat John Cena in 2004 for the WWE US Championship. He went on to hold that title for 42 days – that’s 14 straight matches won – before surrendering the belt back to Centa.
Carlito went on to defeat Shelton Benjamin for the Intercontinental Title in 2005, and he and his brother, Primo, beat John Morrison and The Miz at WrestleMania XXV to become the only tag team to unify the WWE Tag Team and World Tag Team championships.
